“ The best place to shop and the best customer service ever! Their Arabian delights are always fresh and their bakery makes delicious bread! ”
“ Great little Middle Eastern market. We came in because we needed some Christmas cookies, oddly, and this said "bakery." We knew we wouldn't find run of the mill stuff, but hoped for sweet treats for the kids. And there were several to choose from. We ended up with a baklava sampler, and a small package of mixed cookies. Most of the store is dry goods, a large selection of interesting stuff. In the back is the butcher counter and bakery counter. We found what we wanted, and I noticed some things that looked like pasties. I became more intrigued as the owner explained them to another customer, in another language. I asked what was in them, and he ran them down: veggies, chicken, yogurt, lamb, etc. I got a lamb one since I had not eaten anything solid that day, and ate it in the car. Still warm, and full of essentially lamb stew: meat, potatoes, carrots, etc., in a slightly zippy curry sauce. Very good, very portable. We haven't tried the sweets yet but they look good, and if the kids don't like them, well, more for me. Service was very friendly and helpful. Prices are good. Selection is good. I will keep this place in mind. ”
“ Solid import store. They have a pretty wide selection of Arabic and Middle Eastern foods, spices, breads, and treats. I wandered the store looking for unique items and walked away with camel's milk, spreadable cheese, date cookies, marinated eggplant (canned), and when the owner saw my selection, he insisted I have some bread (which he threw in for free). Everything I bought was quality, the bread was fresh, fluffy, and went perfectly with the eggplant and cheese. Cant say that I had a fully encompassing experience, but what I had I enjoyed. Certainly worth a stop, especially if you are looking for some off the beaten path fare, whether that be raw ingredients or canned/preserved/premade. ”
“ Store is very clean. It is easy to find items, and they boast a variety of them. The bakery offers freshly made pastries. The staff are friendly, and very helpful. ”
“ The owner was really helpful during my first trip here based on a YELP email. I purchased a kebab stuffed pita as well as a falalfel stuffed pita...both were delicious and reheated well. The price was very reasonable and the pita's are absolutely craveable. The butcher was also very friendly...the next time I need fresh lamb for a meal, I'm going to travel to this store...and buy a stuffed pita while I'm at it!!! ”
“ A real discovery, provided by the Alt Eats Tour of Columbus Food Adventures. The great variety of pies were delicious! They made an assortment of open-faced pies (like small pizzas) with the various fillings they use in their pies so we could see. I'm going to buy a batch for my next cocktail party: intriguing, different, and very tasty! Home made pita breads looked really fresh. Bethia Woolf said the falafel (available only when Papa comes to cook) are wonderful. ”
